My maternity leave ends in 2 months and I’m constantly thinking about what should I do afterwards. Going back to cash allocation - no way - that’s so boring in D/K. They are running Navision and that’s just not good enough compared to SAP. I do not want to spend my life doing stupid stuff!!! So, what should I do instead? I’m going to ask them if I could start in customer service. That could be an option. Then there are plenty of places here around. I could start at a new place. But much more I would like to try something different. What about cooking? Temporary. Just to see how much I get out of it. I can always go back to the office job.
I also developed a long term dream. Taking photography to a so called “higher level”. I love taking pictures. People always get so happy when you take a good one. Especially with their kids. It feels good. Right now I’m finding out if my passion is strong enough or goes away as many other ideas… I’m a visual person. A little photostudio/shop is the dream.
What do you think? What person I’m? Where should I go?
it’s sunday and Jamie and me been to the swimminghall. he loves water. he got much better swimming around. i would love to take pictures, but its a bit difficult with all that water there… he is so easy to be with.
Miya slept 12 hours last night. Amazing little girl. She really has a good period right now.
Maia wrote on her blog yesterday that she doesn’t want kids on her own (…or at least not at the moment…). Always thought that is what she would love to have…
We are so proud. Jamie is using the toilet. Yippie. He did puhh and pipipi 3 times now. What a wonderful feeling when your own child getting to the next puhh-level! Never was a *plop* in the toilet so exciting! We are clapping hands and smiling over the whole face. The highlight of the day!!! YEAH
I have finally started working with Ruby on Rails at work so after being away from Ruby for a few months now, I’m back on the track AND getting paid to do it!
I’m still discovering new features, libraries and ways of doing things every day, and loving every bit about it. Some of the libraries need at bit more work but for the first time I actually think that I will get involved in that work. Ruby is so concise that getting involved is a lot easier than trying to get your head around the thousands lines of code a typical JAVA library is made up of.
Jamie and mom been in the swimming hall today and he just went nuts in the water. He was so happy, jumping around, trying out all the toys and sure, no fear when coming under the water. Later today he was drawing himself cars and busses onto a drawing board; given by untie Mariana. Thanks again, Maia, he loves it! Its amazing how fast Jamie develops right now. He talks, understands how things are working, he has so much fantasy and gives so much love back. Hugging and kissing.
The wonderful people et shopify have decided to extract parts of their Ruby on Rails web shop application to a separate library and have released it to the world.
It’s called Active Merchant and I must say it look pretty cool.
It is now easier than ever to do your own online shop using Ruby on Rails.
